Established 20 years ago, Highland Taxis is based in Inverness, co-directed by local husband and wife team, Gavin and Samantha Johnston.

Now the largest taxi company in the Highlands, Highland Taxis handles some 11,000 jobs per week.

The company has over 100 staff and drivers, holds a number of contract and business accounts, and is the appointed Taxi Company for both Inverness Airport , Inverness Railway Station and Raigmore Hospital .

Highland Taxis also offers a range of additional services from executive hire to personalised tours.

The forward-thinking firm is at the forefront of technology too with a fully computerised system providing services such as caller ID and customer ring-back, as well as prioritisation for account customers. The company database holds postcodes for the entire UK and with the introduction of GPS, the office can track vehicles by satellite and provide more accurate quotes and estimated times of arrival (ETA) for customers.
